Ready to Adopt?

Every pet at VMAS has a unique story and plenty of love to give. Before applying, please review our basic requirements and learn what to expect during the adoption process.

Before You Apply

  • Be at least 18 years old Adopters must present valid government-issued identification.
  • Confirm pets are permitted Make sure animals are allowed where you currently live.
  • Be ready for a lasting commitment Your new companion will need a safe, loving, and permanent home.

How Adoption Works

Browse Available Pets

Explore the profiles above to discover the animals currently looking for homes.

Submit an Application

Select a pet to open their profile and complete the adoption application. Applications are generally reviewed within 48 hours, although weekends, holidays, severe weather, and animal emergencies may cause delays.

Meet Your Match

After your application is reviewed, we will arrange a visit with the pet. For dog adoptions, we may recommend bringing resident dogs for a supervised introduction.

Welcome Them Home

Once the adoption is approved and the pet is ready, complete the adoption agreement, pay the applicable fee, and welcome your new companion home.
